Hello Everyone-

So I just got a new Mac Mini that I want to use as a HTPC. I got everything all set up. I can get the sound to come out of my tv, but it will not come out of my sound bar. Basically I have the Mini hooked up via HDMI to HDMI 1 on my LG tv. From here I have an optical cable running out of the LG TV to my LG Sound Bar.

Now I have a blu ray player and an xbox hooked up via HDMI 2 and 3. Both have sound coming out of the sound bar.

It probably varies from set to set, but my TV can't output sound that it's receiving from an HDMI input. It can only send sound to an external device if it's coming in through the coaxial port.

In order to get my Mini's sound to play through a receiver, I run a digital audio cable out of the headphone jack.
