So this problem has bugged me since I bought my first iPhone, the 6S Plus. It isn’t a real big problem, but it really bugs me everytime I see it. Like for example, a usual time display would be:
10:45
But on my phone, it shows:
10.45
Now, I have frequently updated iOS and this problem still persists. Then I got a new iPhone XR this February and when I backed up all my data on it, voila, the time display problem got transferred over too, whereas my Factory Reset-ted iPhone 6S Plus’s time display became normal.
Does anyone have a clue on what is wrong with my time display? I know that this is a very minor issue, but it really bugs me.

What are your keyboard and language settings? Inside the Settings app?

What region is your phone? (Settings>General>Language&Region) It shows a Region Format Example at the bottom, this could help narrow it down.

Thanks! Now I see the problem. My phone’s region is in Indonesia and when I tried to set it to the U.S. it works! Thanks!

So, out of curiosity, I wonder if that is consistent with how time is displayed in Indonesia?

I don’t think so. Our digital clocks used : to separate the hour and minutes, which is just like other digital clocks. Tbh, I also just knew that there is a format which used . to separate the hour and minutes. I thought it was a bug at first.
