I am looking into get a 6900XT for my 2019 Mac Pro. Will the graphics card from different vendors work the same? I saw many options on newegg like from ASRock, Sapphire, MSI and etc. The price ranges from 1K ~ 2K, I am quite new in the area and worried about making the wrong purchase.

Another unrelated question, if I use a third party graphics card, will I still be able to use the usb-c ports that are not directly on the graphics card (like the two ones on the top) for connecting monitors?

AFAIK The built-in ports are only fed by MPX GPUs.

Look at the Gigabyte Gaming OC cards because they fit inside the case and many off the other brands make cards that are too long.

I kept an MPX module to plug my display into.

Not sure if 6900XT is also affected, but read through this thread just in case... if anything to wait for a fix...
