Had posted this in the Buying and Pricing forum, but didn't get any help, hope it's okay to post here. Just trying to figure out a good price to set this at for a local, CL-type deal (ie, no eBay)?

21.5" inch Retina 4K iMac with built-in VESA and AppleCare

2015 3.1 GHz quad core Intel core i5
8 GB RAM
512 GB SSD flash storage
Intel HD Graphics 6200
Magic Mouse 2
Magic Keyboard
Original box
Extended AppleCare warranty until December 24, 2018 with paperwork

Note: This iMac does not include a stand.

This was a custom order iMac with built-in VESA adapter for wall/desk mounting and 512 GB SSD flash storage.

Apple sells them for $1,600...
mmm. ask $1,750 & settle for $15~$1,600... they sell for around that.
but, it's up to you...

Yes that’s the trouble I’m having in trying to sell though amazon carries 3rd party stands that can be used and actually provide more functionality than the OEM iMac stand.

Disregard the fact that there is no stand for a moment - how would you price it then?

Have you looked on eBay or in Apple's refurbished section of their website? I didn't see anything exactly like this on eBay, but something similar (16gb RAM, 256gb SSD) had a "buy it now" price of $1200. It doesn't have the 6-month AppleCare that you'd get, but it does have a stand. I might offer $1k for it, and be willing to settle for up to $1200, including delivery. (But if you're spending that much, why not get a new or refurbished one from Apple for another couple hundred dollars.)

I’m not trying to buy, I’m trying to sell.

The fact that it has no stand and only the VESA mount is going to GREATLY complicate this sale.

I'll reckon that no more than 5% of the "potential buyers" for an iMac of this year and configuration would want one WITHOUT the stand -- if that many.

That's why I would NEVER buy an iMac with the VESA mount -- if I had intentions down the line of reselling it...

Yes, I'm learning this the hard way. Seemed like a great idea 3 years ago since I didn't want the stand taking up valuable desk space and I had the wall directly behind my desk on which to hang the mount. Oh well, live and learn.

The lack of a stand easily takes $200 off the value of the iMac. But the 3.1 GHz and 512 GB SSD add some value back.

So a reasonable price if you want to sell would be somewhere around $850. With a stand maybe $1,000+.

Yeah, I've been trying around the $850 mark and slowly lowering the price (currently at $750) for a local, CL-type sale. Couple people kicking the tires but no one biting. Just need that one person who is in the market for a VESA iMac....

I think $450-500 would be more like it.
If the OP can even find a buyer at that price... (sigh)
