Trying to download macOS Catalina, but after 7 minutes I have a message saying I need internet connection to download this software when obviously I'm connected. I'm not sure what to do. I'm fairly new to this MacAirPro

3rd party Firewall and antivirus products. Sometimes setting and lack of security with the router.

try booting in safe mode or internet recovery but using option key along with command R.

Thanks so much for your help. The firewall made me think , so I took my computer upstair and for some reason, the update went through. Maybe a coincidence? I don't care because it worked !!!! 😁

Different router? Even router can have firewall products and av. Or weak security - a no-no.

I don't think so. We only have one and I don't think the computer picked up one from out neighbors. I am not very savvy when it comes to stuff like that so I don't have any logical explanation besides I went one floor higher. Maybe the divinity of the gods !!!! 😂
