for some reason the safari app does not want to stay in the dock of the home screen. when i hold down on an app and they wiggle, i can place it in the dock and it stays. but as soon as i open up an app, put my iphone in sleep or turn it off and back on, the safari app icon will not be in the dock anymore. any and all help is appreciated. thanks.

Well now that you have said that it is a jailbreak job then that would more than likely explain why your iPhone is doing this.

Its entirely up to you, but a restore will wipe everything including your hacking.
