Need MobileMe Sync: what to do?

I was using MobileMe Sync to sync settings, dock icons, FTP account (transmit) etc. between my two Macs.

Are there any alternatives now after MobileMe has been changed to iCloud? It is really a huge problem for me, since I have to setup all my stuff twice. I cannot understand why they had decided to take this feature away. Please Apple, add sync to iCloud!

Don't switch to iCloud? It's not likely to be added back, although it's up to Apple.

I've moved to iCloud to enable the new iOS gestures.
