Right side of wrong
so i am a beginner at iphone programming (but a little better at other languages).

anyways, i have made a website in php/mysql that i really like, and wanted to make an app that interacts with it for the iphone.

but since i am not all that great with iphone programming yet, all i've been able to make is an app with a UIWebView that goes to the site that i made. i have two buttons, back and forward, to do just that.

i have touched up the site some, to make it look decent on the iphone.

but i know you can just go to the site in safari and would be just the same as the app.

do you think this even has a chance to get approved? granted, i plan to put more work into this project, but wanted to see if i could go ahead and get it out there now.

thanks

Don't see why not, that's all the Bank of America app is. Their app is a UIWebView with their mobile banking site inside it.

/agree

but I'd also like to ad that your app should probably do more than that, just for the sake of your user experience and for your iPhone programming experience. Not to mention, added functionality in your app will make your users more sticky and potentially bring in new visitors from your app download.

Just think of something your app can do that relates to your site topic.
If you decide you can't do it, there are many places you could even go to hire someone to do it for you.

thanks for the replies.

i do plan to add more to the app. i am just in the learning process now.

in fact, i have followed a few tutorials with Views, and i cannot seem to be able to get a UIWebView to work when i have more than one view.

i know this can be done, i just can't do it yet
