Or however you say it. I received this new PowerBook 17" from dontmakemehurtu who will be receiving his Mini soon, probably before next Friday.

Anyways, my Powerbook gets really hot (as you may know), and I need recommendations for freeware that keeps it cool. Hopefully I can download it right from Apple's download center.

Thanks guys!

I had a weird thing happen on my brand new 12" PB night before last... i drained battery to zero, plugged in a few minutes later (not fast enuff I guess) and had to reformat with a Tiger os disc because at first I could not locate the new PB discs and for the life of me, I could not remember my user name (knew the password but not the right user name!) and could not access the hard drive. Anyway, it's back and --

Guess what? I'm running 10.4 and the thing is completely cool as opposed to the fan being on all the time and the PB overheating as I noticed with each new revision of Tiger.

My advice? All I know is the fan is not running all the time and it's cooler.
