Hi All,

I am a total idiot when it comes to photoshop, and I was hoping someone could remove the 10 commandments and replace them with these nice machine guns here for a fantasy football team avatar.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit: Maybe ole Moses could wear a white robe so the guns would show up better?? Not sure...

Your biggest problem isn't putting the guns in there or removing the tablets. It's that there's nothing behind the tablets, so you don't need so much photo editing as you do photo painting.

Hi, folks.

According to Blue Velvet's "Welcome to Design and Graphics: Introduce Yourself" sticky, one of the missions of this group is to help people with little experience with graphics software to learn how to do what they need themselves. Education, comment and criticism, if you will. I fully agree with this premise and the C&C posts to this group have helped me refine my design skills. Recently, I have noticed more of a tendency of some folks to offer to do the work themselves. This is admirable, but doesn't help anyone improve.

In this particular instance, there are definite ethical issues from my point of view. I'm not much of a church goer, but I wouldn't PhotoShop guns onto a religious icon that reads, in part, "Thou shall not kill". Even for a fantasy game avatar.

wow hobbbz, you did way too good a job for such a disgusting "design". im baffled as to what the OP is thinking...what kind of reaction are you trying to get from such a picture, or is it that moses with machine guns fully expresses who you are and what youre about.
moses + machine guns = manly fantasy football avatar.
"I was hoping someone could remove the 10 commandments and replace them with these nice machine guns"
his hands are positioned so well for a guitar, which is far less offensive and idiotic. try to show some bit of creativity when defaming a historical figure...

sorry im not even religious but i had to bust some balls for such a stupid ridiculous photoshop request

Thanks for the replies. As someone who supports the site though paying a subscription, I am not intending to break the rules. I support BV, all of the mods and admins for their hard work in coming up with the great rules that make this site great. On the flip side, I do not want to go buy and learn how to use photoshop just to help my friend Jay with one picture.

While there is a fine line between asking someone to do an art project, and quick help with a picture (keep in mind you are not obligated to help in any way), MacRumors is a site with a lot of creativity in its members, and we might be able help people here and there. I've done this many times. Some folks need an attitude adjustment.

For the record, I apologize for any offense. I am a Christian myself, and our fantasy football league is very tongue in cheek, not to be taken seriously (well, the team names anyway). I'm actually a deacon at a Baptist church, so I seriously apologize if I offended anyone with the request.

Edit: I'm removing the original pictures because I obviously have offended some folks.

I'm not sure that Moses was known for anything to do with music or guitar playing? I'm not religious so could be wrong...

you guys seriously think this is terrible? Wow. Take a look at some news website or something and have a look at the real problems effecting real people alive today. It's a painting – chill out.

Hey, now that you're done with that- will you do my logo and company website? I'm too lazy to learn the software and too cheap to hire someone who is qualified to do it. Thanks!

This isn't, and wasn't ever, a paying gig. No one is being shorted the opportunity to make money off of this project. It was a throwaway and if anything I benefited from it by getting to relax my mind from real work for the 10 minutes I spent on it.

Don't worry I know all the issues associated with spec work.
