im trying to restore my PB to factory settings. I installed disk and thought I was doing the process but when it booted up all my info was still on the HD. What did I do wrong. How do I erase and install. Thanks-- Sean

Boot from the CD/DVD installer.

Go through the process until you get to a point where you select the disk you want to install on, select the disk, click the Options button, and select Erase & Install.

If you want to erase it so that no data can be recovered, before starting the install procedure, go to the pull down menus until you see Disk Utility. Select it, and then erase the drive using the zero-all data option.

Boot from the CD by holding down 'C'.

Run Disk Utility. It's in the top menu-bar... select & erase the disk.
Install OS & software.

OR...

Boot from the CD. Do a clean install... keep an eye out for a button marked 'options' about 3-4 screens in.

Wouldn't that now be something like Quartz Schwartz? :p

Sorry, bad OS X humor.
