Hello

I purchased an standard MPB 2 ghz on july via online Apple store ( I live in Norway).

Since the day i received it, there was a whine coming from the left hand side of the notebook around where magsafe is and ESC/F1/F2.

My notebook has already been in repair 1 time and they did changed the logic board with the newest one. But the whine is still there. So i called Apple again and told the story, and they told me to deliver it one more time for repair. The technician at my local repair shop called Apple to say that changing the logic board won´t help, but Apple still says that it will be fixed by a change of logicboard ( I don´t understand the logic in that really )..

By norwegian laws, If Apple can´t fix the problem after 2 rep, i can receive a new notebook or get my money back..

If i choose to receive new one, wiill it be the C2D? or the old one CD?

Thanks!!

What does the law say in Norway? In some places, you are entitled to either a refund or a new machine after 3 repairs.

As I mentioned in my first post, the norwegian law entitles you to either receive a new machine or get a refund. You can choose between those two options. And you only need to send your machine for repair 2 times before this law applies to you.
