I've got an old iPod mini I might trade in to Apple for tenpercent off a new iPod. Mini still works.

Do I need a receipt or can I just walk in with the old iPod and no receipt and trade it in?

Nope, you don't need a receipt and it doesn't even have to be working .

Yes! You can bring in any old iPod or old iPhone and trade it in for 10% off a new iPod (excluding iPod shuffle)
