Hi,

My current website has been live for a few months, but I'm not happy with it anymore and want to go for a structured (menued, itemized) blog approach. I love wordpress, it's easy, quick to update and simple to administer; does anyone know of an excellent wordpress template specifically designed for Photographers?

I would appreciate your help on this matter.

what about iWeb?

Hey guys, did anyone consider, to use iWeb?

I know, it is not meant for more advanced stuff, but you can really bend it in iWeb.

Look at my site http://www.teknopunk.com - it's made with iWeb by throwing the templates over board and doing everything by hand.

I like the easy work by drag and drop into the final layout. No html coding or other complicated distracting work.

I publish to a folder and upload via ftp to a hosed web server.

You have probably gotten one by now, so which one did you end up using? i 'm a photog myself too and I 'm debating whether I want to go with ProPhoto: http://www.prophotoblogs.com. But it cost money to buy their template.

I chose Prophoto in the end. It wasn't a matter of money (as it's cheap for what it does), but whether it is the best blogging template available and for my needs it fits the bill. It is by no means perfect but I have found a lot of other Professional Photographers like myself using it. The beauty is that you can customize almost everything!!

Ask yourself this. If you're hobbyist photographer then it's not worth the investment, but if you're a professional then I strongly recommend it.

You can see mine as an example. I'm using Pro Photos 2.

Hope this helps, and good luck! Post back to let us know what you used in the end.

Photocrati Themes

Every once in a while I marvel at the durability of forum posts. The original question in this thread was posted a year ago, and answers just keep trickling in. This is why the web has become the repository of all knowledge.

In any case, I just wanted to suggest having a look at the Photocrati's wordpress themes for photographers. Unlike most WP photo themes, they have separate functionality for galleries and blogging.

My .02.

I also use ProPhoto for my blog and really love it. The design is pretty simple but it focuses on the images which is the main point. my blog is at:
