Idiot move here.

Almost 1 month old iPad Pro was left on a downtown street corner today. Of course it was gone within minutes. The iPad is Wi-Fi only and so would need to connect to Wi-Fi in order for Find my iPhone/iPad to work. We have a city wide wi-Fi system that I can remotely connect the iPad to however I need the MAC address of the iPad. The iPad has been connected to an Apple Watch, an iPhone, and a PC. If I can get the MAC address it should connect immediately and I will be able to see where the iPad is. I have checked the router logs and it doesn't save this information. AppleCare could not help either. The box doesn't seem to have the MAC address.

I could really use some help here. Is there anyway to get the Mac address from the Apple Watch, the iPhone, or the PC?

Help me anyone, you're my only hope.

Happy New Year!

iPad is still missing. Any help retrieving the MAC Address from logs on the PC or in iTunes would be extremely helpful!

It should be listed in your wifi router. You would have to log into your router and look for a device list. Every router is different so you may have to look up the routers user guide online to figure out where to find it.

Well, the police report went in but it's unlikely anything will come from it.

I'm kind of surprised at how completely useless Find My iPhone is for an iPad without cellular as the likelihood of someone just happening to get in my WiFi zone so the iPad will connect is zilch. I'm also surprised how difficult it has been finding the WI-FI/MAC Address so I can connect to the city wide service. Thanks for the suggestion Matyou but as mentioned for some reason my leased router doesn't save this information.

I'm taking note of the MAC address next time I buy an iPad.

Received an email from Apple saying that my local police force has my iPad based on the serial number on the iPad. I'll be able to pick it up in a few days.

Wow, it's nice to hear that Apple is returning stolen/lost iPads to their owners via this way. :) I'm glad you got your gadget back!

Yep. It's in fine shape. The police contacted Apple and Apple contacted me.

I was damn lucky.
