I just recently had my factory year warranty expire and i have not purchased the extended applecare package. Well to make things short the hinges have broken from wear and tear. Can i still get the extended warranty after a month? If not how much do you think this will cost out of pocket? thanks not sure on how strict they are with the registering of the apple care warranty? thanks Moth

hmmm... not sure how applecare works with mbs, but with my ipod I can buy the applecare after my applecare is over and get it replaced. Just call apple and ask or ask a genius.

so you say buy the applecare and then register it and then bring the MB in for repair? thanks
