in entourage 2004 when i get messages with pictures, such as itms receipts, it says at the top of the message "To protect your privacy, some pictures in this message were not downloaded."

how can i turn that off and have it automatically download the pictures for any incoming message?

ok, figured out a work around kinda

put in safe domains in the junk mail safe domain list such as .com .net etc

another question, i don't know if this is possible but is there a preferenc that basically completely gets rid of all those damn msn available icons... they are everywhere! pretty much everywhere you see someones name

I just terminated the Office 2004 demo a couple of days ago (I have Office X and didn't see enough of a reason to upgrade to justify the cost), so I can't answer your question.

However, on a related note, were you aware that spammers use images to determine when you've read their mail to verify your address and send even more mail? By enabling images, you let them know your address is fair game - just by loading the images contained therein, not by clicking anything.

Sometimes it's not a bad thing to not see the images unless you know the source is safe (Mail lets you turn off auto-loading images as well).

Just a comment... sorry to restate it if you already knew.

yeah i know, fortunately i never get any junk mail.

thanks for the info though, now other people who look at this thread for an answer will think twice :)

...still trying to get rid of lousy msn messenger icons that are litering my screen!
