need some help

Well first thing is i want to say im sorry for posting another one of these threads. But im in a bit of a bind.

I want to use my education discount to buy a mac. I am a college student, and basically, i use my comptuer to go on the web, and use word processor, i will be taking a photo class next year, but a basic one, and probably not again, download some music, and talk to friends. no video editing. just basic internet and typing.

So basically, i either want to get a macbook, or macbookpro. Which should i get. The Macbookpro is better obviously, but i feel likt her macbook would work just fine. If i get thte macbookpro it will be the 15" MBP with 2.16 ghz, with and 100GB @7200. and if i get the black macbook, it will also be maxed out. So basically im wondering which one i should get. The MB seems fine, but the MBP seems, i guess the best wor dto describe it would be sexier.

Also, sorry again for asking this, but any thoughts on the meroms, or MBP/MB revisions by sept 16 (the day the education discount ends?)

the education discount ends?!? (are you talking about the ipod+computer bundle?)
Anyways, for what you need to do, a macbook would be fine. The only reason to get a MBP would be in order to do high level video editing or graphically demanding. games

Seems to me like a blackbook would suit you just fine, specially maxed out. Unless you're going to be playing a lot of games or anything that requires the videocard, you'll be alright with the also sexy blackbook. My girlfriend has a white macbook and it is so gorgeous compared to my mom's ibook (which feels like a toy to me. It's just not as well built as my powerbook)
