Need some help

I intend to use my macbook as a desktop with the lid closed... i've bought the apple wireless keyboard and wireless mighty mouse.

Will i have any issues with the lid closed booting up using a non usb keyboard?

Apple only had the Mini DVI adapter in stock but i have a VGA monitor... can i use one of those dvi - vga adapters that come with new graphic cards?

It wakes up just fine from Bluetooth, I do it.

but do you know if it would work as i might be better off getting the dvi cable as i'm thinking about getting a new monitor soon.
