I can vouch for corsair value RAM, I have used many different types of RAM and have found it to be the most reliable.....

I have had nothing but problems with Crucial RAM as well as Kingston, and therefore I only go for Corsair now...

Its more expensive but check it out.....

Now looking at it the A-data RAM is much cheaper, but I'm not sure about the brand maybe someone else can recommend it?

Well, why would anybody spend thousands on a new computer and then save $15 by buying unknown RAM from an unknown eBay vendor? It never ceases to amaze me.

If you want to be sure it will run in your Mac, choose RAM from a seller who tests and guarantees compatibility with your model Mac, offers a lifetime warranty and a no-cost return if it doesn't work. It helps if they have been in business for a while too and have built a repuation

Shadowmoses, your experience runs against the current trends, IMO. Cosair specifically do not guarantee Mac compatibility on their ValueSelect line, only on their SystemSelect. We sell Corsair, and I have to say their 533 mhz DDR2 DIMMs are among the cheapest made I have seen. They work -- I was too embarassed to sell them so I put 'em in a Dell workstation -- but I was not impressed by thinness of the circuit board.

Crucial and Kingston (IF you get their Mac models and not the generic RAMs from a discounter) are widely held to be among the most reliable brands, in terms of compatibility as delivered. But the brand of the RAM is not as important as the guarantee that they have been tested and proven compatible in your model Mac.

CanadaRAM You made a good point there, its just been that I'v had a lot of problems with Crucial RAM that was supposedly guaranteed to work with my Mac, I replaced it with Corsair Value RAM and have not had a problem since I installed it in my iMac G5....The problem is in the UK Crucial is one of the only vendors of RAM who guarantees compatibility.
