"Since i have the latest macbook pro i have to get a monitor that has usb c."
This statement makes no sense at all.
That your MBP has USB-c doesn't mean you can't use it with displays that don't have USB-c. You just have to use the right connector.
I'm not a fan of ultrawides, but I'll -guess- that with a USB-c to displayport (or minidisplayport) connecting cable (one that is "known to work" with a 2017 MBP) you should be able to connect to most ultrawides out there.
By "known to work", be aware that SOME USB-c to displayport connecting cables work with the 2016 MBP's but DO NOT WORK with 2017 MBP's. You have to exercise "due diligence" to read the reviews before you buy to be sure you're getting one that will work.
Insofar as using USB-c with it, I consider this to be a non-issue.
For charging, plug the thing into a wall outlet -- better power.
If the display has a USB3 hub, just use a USB-c to USB3-a type cable, should work well enough.
