Need tethering app...

because apple's personal hotspot function is garbage. leave my ipad 30sec on standby and it disconnects. to re-connect i have to go to personal hotspot menu on my iphone again, then on my ipad the iphone's wifi appears again.
I need to keep the screen on my ipad on the whole time or it disconnects...

Does someone know a good alternative for tethering? i cant jailbreak my iphone 5s and ipad air yet....

There aren't any other tethering options currently unless you're jailbroken.

I would attempt resetting the network settings on BOTH devices though, and if that doesn't work bring them both to the genius bar as there is probably a problem with one of them.

Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
