I've gotten a lot of use out of my AirPods Max for the two years I've had my pair. However the earcups have gotten incredibly filthy and I need to clean them. Anyone know how?

I'd think just using an ordinary cleaning wipe on them for a minute or two would do the trick...

This is what I did. I had a couple of small spots of blood from my eat on them so I sprayed with a stain remover and put them in a pillow case then a w0 degree wash in the machine. Actually did that twice to get them fully clean.

leave them at least a couple of days to let them fully dry.

My wife has a pair and she got makeup on the ear cups. I took them off the device and washed them by hand with warm water and soap. Then just let them air dry and they are totally fine. There isn’t any electronics in them so it won’t hurt them, at least not as far as I’m aware.
