Hi,

1) Is i need to pay to download my application from appstore?

2) What is the difference between use adhoc provisioning profile and appstore provisioning profile?(

a) In program portal they mentioned if we use appstore provisioning profile ,then we cannot install application in devices, then what is the use?

b) if we use adhoc provisioning profile, then we can share our app to our friends )

3) What is the actual difference between appstore and adhoc?

Thanks
judy

The adhoc distribution profile can be used to distribute your app to up to 100 devices (you must include these device IDs in the profile). This is useful for internal distribution or beta testing your app.

The app store distribution profile is used to distribute your app on the app store. You won't be able to install a release built with this profile on your phone without going through the app store. However, there is no reason why you can't just use a development build or an adhoc build to test on your own device.

There is actually a way of checking your final app store build by changing the code signing settings before installing it on your device. Details on how to do that can be found here:

When you create an adhoc profile you can enter a bunch of device ids when creating one profile. As it's a chore to create profiles it's best to collect all the UDIDs and enter them all at once. When you have your profile you need to send the profile together with the application (built using the adhoc profile and with entitlements.plist set up properly) to each of the people you want to give the app to.

If Apple accepts your app and puts it in the paid app portion of the App store, then you need to pay to download it from the App store, just like any other paid app. If it's a free app, then you don't.

App store provisioning only allow Apple to distribute a submitted app, not you. Ad Hoc provisioning allows you to distribute an app directly, not Apple.

Ad Hoc provision is also limited to 100 devices max (including your own), of which you must have the exact device ID. Whereas apps in the app store can sell to millions of customers.

I do not know whether Ad Hoc provision profiles expire or not.
