I was given a '05 G5 iMac and went to start it up and got this error...

Things i have tried...
repairing disks in single user mode
clearing the pram
booting from mac os disk, does nothing holding C down during boot
tried reseating RAM

I dont know what else to do? any body have any ideas?

PS. why when i try and post my pic using the IMG tags, when i preview it all i get is a little icon with like a ripped piece of paper, the one where the image doesnt load?
 
dont know if this will help anyone, didnt help me but thats not saying much:(

this is what i got when i tried to boot from a different os cd

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x002E59BC) : Unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerMac8,2".
 
Try holding down the option key when you hear the chime. It should allow you to select the startup disc - including a DVD to install the OS from scratch.

If its still kernal panics, then you most likely have one of the iMac G5's with the leaking capacitor issue which causes it to reboot/not turn on/kernal panic at random. Somewhere around 50% of the iMac G5's suffered from this issue.
