I have a 40gb ATV that is almost full. It is hard wired with Cat 5, so I am considering streaming from here on out. Will the update wipe our my library? I am hoping yes, otherwise I am guessing that I need to to it manually, and preferrable before I update. Any suggestions?

There is a reset in the menu to have it resynch the entire library.thats one for apple. the new software is most certainly bigger than the old.
why don't you delete some of the stuff you don't need.
I wonder if there is some sort of reset in the settings menu
