Originally, iPhone 8 Plus wouldn’t charge via lightning port or wirelessly. Mics broke as well. (wireless charger was recognizing phone but no charge).
Replaced battery and lightning port with mics.
Phone powered up normally and fully functional except it still won’t charge or recognize lightning cord plugged into laptop.
Tried hard reset. Downloaded latest update but can’t install it because battery is now at 42%.
Is it possible to install while below 50%?
Would complete reset of phone maybe fix possible software issue?
Any thoughts?

If the charging ability of the phone won't work and it's under 50% you can't update. Apple does this so the phone won't die while updating which undoubtedly will brick the device. Try plugging it into a computer to see if it recognizes the device and possibly charge. If not I'd say enjoy whatever charge is left in the device and don't worry about updating it.. Sounds like something on the logic board is damaged if wireless and lightning port are inop especially after you replaced the port. If you can get another battery that's charged to over 50% you would be able to update the device by replacing the battery again

One of the conditions that must be met when updating iOS is that the battery charge is 50% plus, or plugged in to a charger.

Definitely sounds like a hardware issue with the PMIC. I'd get that taken care of before trying to update it.

Used another battery that was over 50% and updated. No luck.
I’ll send it out for repair.
Thanks
