I bought a 16 gb flashdrive and loaded over 2000 songs on it & still had over 6 gigs of space left. I decided to delete all the songs from it and re-install a different selection of songs.
Now here is my question.. When I finished deleting all the songs the capacity shows only 2 gigs of space that is available. Is there any way to regain all 16 gigs again.

Empty your trash. Even if they aren't shown as being on the drive, they are still in the Trash that is associated with said drive, thus they still take up space on it. Emptying your trash will remove them permanently.

Thanks everybody for your help. i was successful in emptying my trash, and re-loaded the flash drive with a new list of music. Now that the stars & planets are lined up everything is the way it should be;)
