right, its being cheeky and maybe a longshot but...

anyone here (students?) who could design a website for a music production company? So far they have a Myspace but would like a dedicated site.

We cant really offer any or much money, but you'd certainly get a big special thanks!

honestly, I do not think that you are going to get much from this...

like most designers here, i cant really work for free.

I think that your best option would be buying a web template and picking up a copy of dreamweaver, Nvu even, or using the dreamweaver trial.

I understand that you dont often get things for free... but i'm doing video production work for them for free too (but I can use it for my student work) and it's purely because we're spending a couple of grand on the bands, venue, sound etc so left with little cash. Once it takes off, then there will be money available. So please bare that in mind. PS. If you know of KT Tunstall, then you will understand why we are a bit short on extra spending Just need her agents to give us a date.

That aside... if I had some spare time, I would try and do it on iWeb, but I dont know how you'd host it to another site without using .Mac =/

Actually, if you aren't looking for anything special for the website, you can throw something together in under an hour using iWeb. Assuming you have access to the domain configurations, you can use .mac to simply host the site by changing the cname preferences in your domain.

This is from smugmug, on how to change your cname settings, and all you have to do is allow your .mac to host (it's in your personal settings).
