Hi, so I have an iPhone 6 running 10.1.1 and I just recently tried to jailbreak it, but Cydia doesn't install although yalu102 says "Already Jailbroken" I've been trying to redo it over and over again and nothing....I think maybe it's not really jailbroken. (I'm new at this) Help? pleaseee

Macrumors isn't the place to ask for jailbreaking help. Look elsewhere (think iDB reddit etc) :)

Go ask in r/jailbreak.

Some people don't get outside of the main iDevice areas on MR, especially if they don't jailbreak.

Bet you this thread was moved to our jailbreak area.

Well damn. I remember reading a while ago macrumors doesn't condone jailbreaking... or maybe that was pirating. Hm.
Pirating.

Jailbreaking, in the context of an Apple device, is the act of removing restrictions that prevents non-Apple code from running on a device. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. Legally, the Librarian of Congress has ruled that jailbreaking is a legal exemption to the Digital Copyright Millennium Act.

So there is nothing illegal about jailbreaking.

What people do AFTER they jailbreak is where things can get into dark areas. Unfortunately, that fact has led to the association of jailbreaking with piracy as one and the same to many.

So just in case anyone wants any further details, well to be vague, basically i followed this jailbreak advice at first --->
, once i did that i realized that none of any tweaks i downloaded were working properly and also cydia links on the home page wouldnt open, so i decided to look up alternate ways to jailbreak and found http://cydiainstaller.net/cydia-ios-10-1-1/how-to-jailbreak-ios-10-1-1/ , so i did that and realized it didnt work so long story short i ended up accidently deleting cydia substrate and then tried rejailbreaking using both methods one at a time and and cydia never installed again, i even tried resetting my phone through settings and then trying it again and it still wont install, and i cant figure out what to do ....i think in some sort of jailbreak limbo and not sure how to go about fixing any of this-.-

Well, after all you have done, just give it up please. Since you have done reset through settings, it's game over for you anyway. For the sake of your phone, do a DFU restore to 10.2.1 and forget the jealbreaking.
