A little history. I used one of these keyboards for about 6 months before giving it to my son in Austria. Never gave me a second's problem. I replaced it with a Logitech De Novo Edge mac edition. It started the same behavior this one has and Logitech eventually told me it was getting out of the bluetooth mac keyboard business and refunded the purchase price.
I bought another apple wireless last week, but could not get it discovered on the imac or my macbook and returned it to Amazon. They sent a replacement the same day I reported the problem. I was very pleased with the service!
Anyway, the batteries on this one test full. Getting the keyboard to be discovered by the imac the first time took 5-8 minutes. It worked OK for a day or so then it started disconnecting then connecting (shadow notification on the screen) and the keys started to hesitate, then the repeating began, even the back space key.
I stopped bluetooth on the imac, activated bluetooth on my macbook and went through the steps to have the keyboard discovered. I did remove the setup from the imac. Discovery was almost instantly achieved. After a weekend of working OK, I took it back to the imac, turning off bluetooth on the macbook and on on the imac. It paired quickly, this time using the macbook named setup. I decided to leave it at that. After another couple of days, so far so good. I'll just keep typing and watching. I'm wondering if the imac setup became corrupted since removing it and using the macbook setup seems to work.
Thanks for the replies,
Max
