I bought the 2020 Generation Ipad 12.9 pro. It was bent as I got the LTE, I got three of them and they had a slight curve to them. So my question is, did they fix that problem with the antenna issue? Or should I cancel the LTE and get the WiFi instead? My main use is work, and during travel work. ANy thoughts would be great as I have until today to switch units.

Why do people always want to get influenced by other people's opinion... just do whatever the heck you want

Thats literally not the question I asked.

I asked if the iPad Antenna issue, with the 2020 model still has a bend in the Antenna unit of 2021 M1Pro?

Not entirely sure what you mean by a curve to them.

But I have the cellular model of the M1 12.9 iPP and I always take mine out when away from home... never had any cellular connectivity issues.

But according to the article it isn't limited to the cellular model.

I'm only telling you my experience with cellular connectivity... and since you brought this to my attention, I have no bent issues. But who's to say that yours won't be bent. But as I recall... not entirely sure, but I had a slightly bent 2018 iPP.

But I kept it since it didn't disrupt the tasks I did on a daily basis.

Overblown internet articles based on a singular rare problem espoused by very vocal minorities with a product that sell millions and millions influencing your decision, which you then decide to get advice from the very same type of forum that overblew the problem in the first place ?

Your situation would drive me nuts -- it would be hard for me to forget that my new iPad had a visible bend. However, at the end of the day you have to ask yourself if the bend affects the iPad's functionality at all. If you have Apple Care, I suppose you could take a problematic iPad back to Apple; they'd surely replace the unit. If I needed an iPad (or wanted one badly enough) that's probably what I would do. But it's not a satisfactory solution and it wouldn't be a very happy purchase.

Take care.

I have purchased 3 non bent iPads. Actually, I have purchased probably 12 in total, just only three since the bend issue existed. I haven’t had a bent one. How bent are they? Do they work or affect using them, or is it just something you can notice when you thoroughly investigate? Does Apple not let you exchange them if it’s affecting the usage? Im struggling to see the issue - if they’re ****ed, then I’m sure you get them replaced no?

Umm. Literally I pull them out of the box. There is a slight bend when the antenna breaks.... I provided the documentation.

Why is it so hard to believe when there were MASS forums/threads/articles about it?
Mass is an exaggeration. There were far more reports of the bright spot issue on 10.5" iPads than there are bent 2018 and 2020 Pros.

Apple allows tolerances for how straight the iPad needs to be. If you're unwilling to accept anything less than absolute perfection, I doubt the 2021 12.9 (regardless of 5G or wifi-only) will make you happy.

because I myself had opened and used more than 5 iPad Pros and not one had issue. I would believe if you had 1 bent, 2 even if you are extremely unlucky. Having 3 from all different batches suggested and much wider spread of issue, which is not the case here.

Because the internet blows things out of proportion. I know loads and loads (see what I did there) of people with an iPad Pro. No one has a bent one. I myself have had a fair few as I mentioned before. None were bent. For you to have 3 in a row is so unlucky that it requires extra verification if you want to post about how much of an issue it is. Or else you’re just someone saying stuff on the internet.

There hasn’t been much new reports on that matter - and the existing bending issues may have been mostly with the previous models.
Mine is set to arrive today, I’ll chime back in if it happens to be bent.

There's a bend test I saw on Youtube and from there it seems to prove that the added display thickness help the overall structural integrity of the device. Though it still bend from pressure, it is harder to bend it than the previous generation. You may still want to buy a case if you plan to bring it with you when traveling.

I think one of the benefits of the 2021 model being thicker is it limits the likelyhood of bending. The thicker glass helps as well.
