The first VPN monitor for Mac that double-checks the status of your VPN connection

Net Radar is an app that's specialized in monitoring the status of your VPN connection. The app works on two levels. The first level is inside your Mac, where the app monitors any network configuration change related to VPN connections. Each time a VPN connection is started or ended, the app looks at the new connection outside your Mac by calling a GeoIP service. This service returns the new public IP address and, more importantly, the current geographical location of the IP address, along with some other metadata. Both said levels are used to determine the operational status and the correct working of your VPN connection.

Net Radar can also be used to just monitor the public IP address of your Internet connection and the associated geographical location, without any VPN status checks. The app lives in the status bar by showing the current geographical location of the current Internet connection. Clicking on this status item will display a popup showing the location on a map, together with metadata of the connection plus the status of the VPN connection, if the VPN monitoring feature is enabled.
