I am currently taking a programming class. Unfortunately the school I go to is a very high Microsoft orientated. So they are teaching Microsoft .net . Is there a way to recompile .net to the Mac OS?

Thanks!

Hugh

In short the answer to that is no, you can't compile Microsoft's .NET platform for OS X.

However, there is an open-source implementation of .NET (not quite all the features) called Mono that you may wish to look at - http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page. Not sure how compatible it will be with your projects though.

Hopefully that helps! :)

Thanks!

Thanks! that's what I thought, but thought I would ask anyways. :D
I will check the web site out when I get some free time (weekend).

When I recently switched jobs I got my company to get me a MacBook Pro instead of a Windows based machine. What's interesting about that is that I'm a .NET developer. :) What I do is run Windows XP through Parallels in my second Space. I can check my corporate Exchange email, chat, and browse the web in the first Space. Then just tab over to Windows to write my code. I love it.
