My 3rd gen nano was stolen but I received the $150 + tax and case so about $200 now should I get a 8gb nano or an acer aspire one? I already have an iPod Touch and iPod Shuffle. I like the fact that the netbook is portable and has a bigger screen for movies in the car. But I have a Sony laptop that was purchased in September and an iMac I received for Christmas.

On the netbook thing, my husband got a Lenovo one over X-mas which he is really happy with. The keyboard is very usable, the sound is ok and it's quite peppy for not being a Mac :). After being dragged from store to store to examine the Acer, HP and Lenovo I think that the Lenovo and HP are of much better quality than the Acer. Although I think they may be a bit pricier. Just a thought.

go with the netbook . . . . i bought an MSI Wind after christmas and i'm loving it. :D

I am going to get the Acer since its $350 and I will get it at Walmart since I have $40 in gift cards. Now how do I convince my parents to let me get it? My dad payed $1200 for my sony laptop in September and then just bought me a new iMac for xmas. I was also thinking of installing a touchscreen, any ideas on that?

Netbook. specifically the MSI Wind U100 series.

there's a chart somewhere on the web that talks about which netbooks have compatibility problems with OS X (in terms of wifi, BT, updating, etc) the MSI Wind and Dell Mini. but the Dell mini only has a 9" screen and the hard drive space is limited to 32gb (SSD)

MSI wind has 10" screen and a 120gb hard drive.

i have it and it runs OS X very nicely. the hacking was kept to a minimum. If i didn't screw it up, you won't either! :)

my exact model is the u100-030 (a bit feminine with the hearts on it) but there was an AWESOME sale on it, and it was not worth it for me to pay an extra $100 to get a model without hearts.
