i have set up netboot on a 10.6. when i press option and press the n key, i only see the server IP address. how do i make it show multiple images so i could choose from them. right now it just goes to the default one and I don't want that

Instead of just holding N when booting hold 'option', all available ones or "active" nbi's on your netboot server should appear there.

You can also go to "Startup Disk" in the system utilities, where you can not only see the name of each available netboot image, but a short description (if set) is also viewable in the mouseover pop-ups.

holding option doesn't show any netboot. you have to also press n after the boot menu comes up. and no, only the server ip address comes up. i heard rumors that only some models the nbis actually show up. i can't believe apple misses the boat on this one. windows server gives you a nice menu with all the boot images. i can't run multiple servers like an apple store can for netboot
