I recently found this Chrome extension that forces 5.1 audio out of Chrome for Netflix (normally Netflix will only play in stereo in a browser):

I have tried on my Windows PC and it works fine. But wondering if someone with a Mac and a 5.1 setup can test to see if it works? You can test it with the Netflix Test Pattern show.
Was going to look at building a Windows 10 VM so I could get 5.1 out of Netflix on the Mac Mini when I get it, but if this works, will be much better. It only supports 1080p at the moment, but I haven't found anyway to get 4K Netflix on a Mac yet (so will probably have to wait until Apple works out a deal with Netflix).
