Netflix app abroad

I have a netflix account and wanted to know if the watch instantly works outside the US. Or does it identify your IP and not let you use it? If so, is there a way around this like changing your IP? Thanks.

Netflix geolocates by IP so it will block attempts. You can only get around this with a proxy or VPN.

I went thru this exercise 3 weeks ago...

Recommended by a friend, I went to strongvpn.com and got the PPTP package for the iPad (and OPEN for MiniMac) to create VPN connection.

Very simple to set up by following instructions at the site.

When outside US, turn on VPN (from Settings) then watch Netflix and/or ABC Player immediately.
