Anyone else having problems with the netflix app?

Mine just boots to the red screen then sits there with the spinning wheel.

I have deleted and reinstalled and it works after reinstall. My workplace blocks many web sites; when I try to open netflix at work, it goes to the red screen and stops (assuming it is blocked by IT). After that it will not ever work at home or anywhere else, and I have had to reinstall it.

I know, don't open it at work.

But does this make any sense? Why would it lock the entire app?

Anyone else have issues?

As posted sounds like your work is blocking the stream. Well anyway I can not get more than a few seconds of continuous playtime without it freezing (and maybe buffering). Never worked for me from day one. However, videos from YouTube, NYTimes, WSJ.com all work flawlessly. Any clues?

That's crazy because netflix works great for me since day one. You tube is another story. I can't play anything for more than a couple of seconds.

Netflix doesn't work outside of US (unless using VPN).

So if you are not in US, then your work network blocks it...

I am in the USA.

It makes sense to me that it freezes since work blocks these sites; however, what I can't figure out is why it seems to permanently "break" the app so that when I get home it won't load either.

Netflix worked perfectly on my iPad when I was in the US.

However, when I travelled outside of US, without realizing that Netflix doesn't stream outside of US, I tried to use it and of course it didn't work - stopped at the starting red screen.

A few days later, I had VPN set up (StrongVPN is excellent, BTW), it still wouldn't open. I deleted the app, reinstalled and it works perfectly since (with VPN outside of US).

Try to reinstall it perhap...

Netflix works well for me for the most part. Sometimes when I fast forward it crashes. I just found out today that if I pause and then fast forward it works fine. Overall an awesome app for me!
