Not working for me....

Works fine on my iPhone or my laptop. :)

Same. Started last night. Rebooting and unplugging has not worked.

Ditto. And between this and my DISH receiver going down (within hours of each other), I'm pretty annoyed about now.

I guess the question, then, is why are jailbroken ATVs no longer connecting to Netflix? If I had just updated something, I could see it, but I haven't done anything with my ATV (other than normal usage) in a long time.

my ATV2 had been acting up; not holding wireless connection, saying Netflix not available when netflix would work fine on my ipad. Updating, recycling would not cure it. Managed to get a ethernet cable from the wireless router to the ATV2. Running for over a week now, hardwired, without a single issue. Seems to be some problem with the ATV2 wireless setup, never had the trouble with the ATV1.

I am fairly sure that Netflix 'flipped a switch' and it is requiring you to have the latest ATV update installed.

Why would Netflix do that? Does the latest ATV software change anything with the Netflix part?

Edit: And if they did that, you'd think they'd include a message to update to the latest version.

Netflix has had forced updates required on other platforms before.

Since the ATV2 is a closed system they probably feel no need to.

I guess if you assume everyone always updates when they come out, that would make sense.

Guess I should see if greenpois0n has an update.

Well, that was it. I was running a jailbreak on 4.1.1. I upgraded my ATV2, and Netflixs works fine now. Makes sense, I guess, since the Netflix app had an update. Netflix obviously requires the latest version of that app.

Unfortunately, my ATV2 is now at 4.2.2, and it looks like greenpois0n is still at 4.2.1. Guess I wait a bit before re-jailbreaking this thing.

Interesting. I have tried everything but updating. Wireless, ethernet, setting DNS to 8.8.8.8, resetting the router, cable modem, and ATV2 in all sorts of manners...

Sounds like it just needs the update. I'll try that and report back. No problem, I guess, since I don't use my Jailbroken features anyway!

If you don't mind me asking, what software version does your apple tv 2 have on it?

I have one ATV2 in the bedroom running the latest iOS (no jailbreak) and Netflix works. Now the one in the livingroom one is jailbroken and Netflix has not worked in the past few days.

Whats the delay on the jailbreak for the latest OS?

Thanks for the reply, what I am trying to figure out (without restoring), is if Netflix works on un jailbroken 4.1.1 (iOS 4.2.1)?

You can jailbreak the latest iOS 4.3 (8F305), atv2 4.2.2 with Seas0nPass, I have one with this done and Netfix still works on it.

Ok, bit the bullet and restored to 4.1.1 (iOS 4.2.1) and Netflix does not work (same error), so for those wondering, the jailbreak did not cause this.

My current version is 4.2.2. See if the ATV will upgrade to that version, then try it. My updating completely bypassed 4.2.1, so I don't know if that should work or not.
