Any one experiencing issues with Netflix Lag on the ATV2? I have a new one from christmas along with a new Netgear wireless N router, with 4/5 bars signal strength on the ATV2, but am getting frequent pauses while watching movies from Netflix. Is there an issue on my end or simply too much traffic for netflix to handle during holidays? Just wondering if someone else has the same issue.

Thanks!

There is a big difference between strength of signal and quality if signal. You can have great strength but be losing packets of data due to interference. I played a Netflix movie with no issues last night.

It is the ATV2. There are threads all over the Apple discussion forums on this, it is not just you.

I have a ATV2 and PS3 side by side both on a wired ethernet 15/2 connection. The ATV2 stops every minute or two to buffer and is unwatchable. I can stop the show on ATV2, go to the PS3 and watch the same Netflix show all the way through with no stuttering or buffers at all.

See this.

Apple needs to fix this.

I have the exact problem as Weaselboy, this is ridiculous. I dont see why apple cant put a setting to allow streaming the movie in advance, I'd even be willing to let it do that if it was possible. I would rather not have to mess with the playstation control. Thats another point on my little rant, why the heck is there not a good iphone app that allows control of PS3, not just that crappy app for the blueray control of certain movies. That would be awesome!! :D Oh well, Weaselboy, did you just decide on using your PS3 for the Netflix viewing instead? I decided yesterday after cursing out my ATV2 to try it out and was surprised at how much better that worked.

I recently tried the ATV2 again and they seem to have fixed whatever was going on. Even with HD streaming movies I don't get any pauses like I was.

Same here with the lag. I tried both wireless and wired. Even did a restore to a brand new ATV2. Only other option is to return it.
