I read old posts about this but never has anyone had a solution for it. What I mean is, when watching Netflix on Mac in fullscreen the gamma of the whole screen changes whenever the video has a drastic image change. Most noticeable when subtitles are enabled. Every time the subtitle turns on and off the gamma changes, resulting in a brightness flicker / distracting brightness change.
Doesn't matter if auto-brightness is turned on or off in the Mac System Settings. Played around and found no way to watch Netflix without gamma changes here and there... worst with subtitles (I watch everything in it's original language)
It's a phenomenon that I know from watching Netflix (any video) on an iPad up until the Pro line and it seems to have (almost) be cured. Now I got this MacBook 12inch and it seems to be worse on Mac...
Other fullscreen playbacks like VLC or YouTube are fine.
