Will Netflix work with a 3G connection only or is just wifi only on the iPad?

I have used both Netflix and the ABC app through my Verizon MiFi data device... effectively streaming over Verizon's 3G network. Netflix is slow to initially load and buffer, but then plays great! So the answer would be yes, in my experience, it works fine....

I think the real question is whether ATT will force Netflix to compress the video so heavily that it's not watchable.

I want Netflix to work through AT&T 3G too, but I would be surprised if they allow it.

Again, streaming through tethering or MIFI does not count. The iPad thinks that it is using WIFI (and if tethering via iPhone, the iPhone does not know that you are using Netflix).

But if they do allow Netflix streaming, you should definitely go with the unlimited plan.
