Looks like Newsgator have produced a real RSS application for iPhone.

My only question is this, do you think that it will be slower than the web version because it's having to load all of the different feeds individually rather than simply loading a web page?

It'll probably be slower when you open the app, if it checks all the feeds at once. But once it's open it'll be quicker to read, because the data will be downloaded into memory.

in theory it could be faster because it only needs to download the RSS XML data and not a bunch of HTML too.
