Network error flooding syslog

I am getting the below error flooding the syslog at the rate of two entry every second.

com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.xpc.launchd.domain.pid.networksetup.5678): Failed to bootstrap path: path = /usr/sbin/networksetup, error = 2: No such file or directory

Not having any issues with NAS or anything network related. Just the message flooding syslog.

Disconnect the NAS to see if the message goes away. Are you connecting the NAS using SMB? What version of SMB (SMB 1 or SMB 3)?

SMB and AFP. SMB set to min version 2 and max version 3

Turn off the NAS and the message is stilling flooging.

Leave the NAS disconnected and restart the computer. See if the messages stop.

Try disabling SMB on the Mac. If you switch to using AFP, leave SMB disabled does the log messsges stop?

NFS might be another thing to try.
