Network gaming

Hi,
I have a MBP and i have been trying to connect to my homenetwork with other PCs inorder to play Generals with my friends....
The PCs can always detect each other they could never detect the mac.
I was wondering if there is something i could do to play a network game with PCs
BTW: This is my first post .... anxious to get help

According to the following article this game does not work cross platform.
