Yesterday I wanted to change my network and noticed "network" wasn't in my system preferences. I haven't been deleting anything so where did it go? (system is only four days old)

Installed any hacks at all?

Try repairing Disk Permissions (Applications --> Utilities --> Disk Utility) and give it a restart.

Tried repair, nothing changed. Is there a "network" preference pane? I guess I could restore from the DVDs.

BTW - I don't invite trouble especially on a new piece of $2800 computer. :(

That is what I have.

Press Apple + Shift + 4 and then Space bar and take a screenshot of what you see.

Oh yeah, it's missing...I have .mac, quicktime, and sharing...no network. I know where it's missing - in the system/library/sysprefs but I don't have my install disks with me.

I uploaded mine for you (I don't think it contains any of my configurations..).
Network Preferences

I'd just be a bit concerned as to how it disappeared in the first place..

I'm going to restart now...funny thing is your info wasn't there but my network locations were...odd...be back.

UPDATE: It worked!! Thank you! Another odd thing is when I tried to copy it into the prefs folder it said I couldn't because the item was already existed... Thanks again.
