I am using a CalDigit TS3+ Hub for my M1 MacBook Air. I have ethernet running to the hub which is preferred over WiFi. When looking at my Network Preferences it's showing that I am connected to "Thunderbolt Ethernet Slot 0", "Thunderbolt Ethernet Slot 1, Port 2", and WiFi. Below are the preferences and Service Order of the services. Should I remove "-" one of the Thunderbold Ethernet slots from the service list? Also, why doesn't WiFi disconnect when Ethernet is live?

My guess is that the OS "sees" that wifi is available, but that your "first choice" is a wired connection, so...

... The OS connects with the preferred wifi source, BUT... it leaves the connection "inactive" while the wired connection is established and in use.

However... if something was to happen and the wired connection failed... the wifi connection (because it's already established) is "available" and the OS will switch over to it immediately...
