Network problem after up to 10.11.5

I cannot figure this one out. After the upgrade I can't get to any network shares. All my other devices have NO problems: Windows machines, WDTV, AV receiver, DirecTV. But the Macbook does not.

Does anyone have the same thing going on?

Any ideas?

I power cycled my network router....no luck.

Not having that problem, but might you cycle the MBP wifi on and off, and/or check network settings under sys prefs?

Yep - did all that....still cannot see network shares. i know the problem is in the Mac since all other devices do not have this problem.
