Hello everyone.

I just wanna ask you a question about sharing the network between a Macbook Pro and a iPad without internet connection - mostly standalone system.

Current Macbook Pro Setup:

OS: EL Capitan v10.11.6
VMware Fusion Pro 8.5.10 (windows Pro v10) setup as IIS

My Question:

How can i setup ? so that Mac's Safari can access to IIS from windows 10 and i'd like the iPad also access to the macbook pro and IIS as a wifi connection or do i need a router for that purpose.

this is for my own web development testing.

Set the network configuration for the virtual machine to use bridged networking. This will put the virtual machine on the same network as the rest of your devices, including the host computer, and you'll be able to access it that way by using the virtualized Windows environment's IP address.

Are you on a corporate network of some kind? Those often prevent devices from communicating with each other.

No, I'm currently using at home's networking - EdgeRouter (no wifi-build-in). Can i setup macbook pro as hotspot (wifi) for only iPad?
